A thread was raised a while ago rejoicing at the humiliation and the sacking as emeritus professor of a Nobel laureate.
Sir Tim Hunt hadn't groped or raped anybody: he'd included the injudicious phrase (in an impromptu speech): "The trouble with women in the laboratory...".
A great amount of mental effort and moral rage was spent on Twitter and to a lesser degree on the gloater's thread explaining how the "sexist" remark would, if unchallenged and unpunished, blight the lives and prospects of aspiring young female scientists everywhere.
It's a disgrace that, in the presence of real evil as in Cologne, the same mental energy is not being spent on investigating its likely causes and attempting to engineer its prevention.

To make sure the ABers who want to pretend nothing is happening untoward in Europe perhaps it should be removed, I would hate their fluffy cloud cocooned world to be infiltrated by nasty reality.
