Airbnb Id Verification

Has anyone on here been able to sign up for airbnb (as a guest, not as a host) who hasn't been able to provide either a passport or driving licence?

I do not have a current passport as the last time I was abroad is about 30 years ago and I cannot find my drivers licence. That may turn up of course but I want to book now and am being asked for verification ID.

I have linked to my Facebook account, verified my phone number and they have my email as they have sent a message back to me.

Then they want a photo of passport or drivers licence.

I have seen your link on their site whilst trying to solve the problem but it just seems to be one of those circular links that, no matter how you search, always leads you back to where you started. It does say that in certain circumstances you can answer some questions rather tha
