Hi Answerbankers.
I have just paid £35 for my battery changing as it was not keeping its charge. I charged the new battery up less than an hour ago and already its used 5%. Have I paid £35 for nothing. Any ideas.

Have you got any apps that drain the battery? Have you always got bluetooth on even when you aren't using it?
Could well have used up 5%. It depends for what you have been using it.

Also being new it needs to settle down for accurate readings.

HansaUrbancka. I understand what you mean but during this time I did not use my phone to make a call or send a text. I will wait to see if it does settle.
Thanks to you both for your reply.
There are lots of "things" to turn off in an iphone if you want to conserve battery life.

My suggestion is to open settings and close everything you don't need.

My iphone 4 only receives texts and calls, only sends the same. I can go 3-4 days without a re-charge, now that I have mucked about in settings.

PS: It's years old, third hand and has the original battery.
