88d. The firm took in Melody? Capital! (5) ??I?O. Cairo (that's a capital) might fit but how?
Also, presuming the following guesses are correct, could someone kindly explain any of them?!

79a. Final blessing seen as banal in Laois (4,5) L?S???T?S. 'Last rites' it may be but can't figure out where 'rites' comes from!
