I work as a nursery nurse and don't normally worry about getting my uniform mucky as it always washes up easily enough. However, after a purple painting exercise which resulted in my polo shirt being splattered with the stuff, I am unable to clean it. It was water-based pre-mixed children's paint and wont budge. I have used Vanish and boil washed the top 5 times now. There is an improvement but still has purple splodges. Any tips?

Dye the whole thing purple?
If you have boil washed it I think you will find it almost impossible to remove now as by boiling it you will have "set" the stains.Depending on the colour of your top try soaking in some Ecover laundry bleach powder or white vinegar and water.Cool water though!
