Click here to read about an out-of-control child who smoked 20 a day aged 9, started drinking at 10, gets pregnant at 11, and has a mum who is pleased with the situation.
The "boyfriend" is charged with unlawful sex but why not her as well, and how does all of this sorry mess reflect on today's society?
I personally think the world's gone mad....what say others?

I am of the same mind as Noxlusmus I came across this site asking a geniune question I was curious about (hence the name) I have learnt quite a bit of useful information, and I have helped out where I could with some useful answers. I am starting to feel "dirty" ashamed if you like, for associating myself with people who either throw insults at each other on B&S or have strong unethical views on NEWs, who I wouldn't normally give the time to, yet I feel compelled to answer. When you feel stressed, or fed up, and wonder why you haven't done what you wanted to do, or arn't like that successful person who you see in the better car, imagine yourself as this girl, no doubt living in relative poverty, oh hasn't she got one over on us all?
This proves yet again that not all children have the luxury of growing up in a stable, happy and loving home...although having said that, maybe her mum did think that was what she was providing..it would be interesting to know what her own upbringing was like! Hopefully this family will get the help it needs to ensure that the other kids in the family have a chance to make something of their lives!!
Interesting that the two people arguing that the more extreme elements of the animal rights movement had the right idea both appear show an absolutely delight in the misfortunes of human beings on this thread...

walddomcfroog- if your are refering to me i was simply stating something which is mathamtically possible. I think its a terrible thing that she has had such a bad upbringing and no discipline but i do feel that at least she didnt kill the child

Actually having said that i think she pretty much is killing it since she is still smoking and drinking

WaldoMcfroog...

Im not taking delight in other people's misfortunes Im just sickened that a child would be having $ex at the age of 11. Though by calling it a misfortune you make it sound as though it just happened by bad luck - but assuming she consented then its her (and the boy's) own stupid fault.

Vivaca, you called an 11 year old child a "[edited by AB] Adults do not refer to children in that manner usually, as it's demeaning, rude and it's just so incredibly disrespectful that no-one would normally ever do it ( that I know anyway). Can you not find a little grace and tolerance for the child?

Nox - I pop in and out for a nosy and I agree wholeheartedly with your comments.

I used to enjoy this site but it is so full of vitriol and bitterness and 'saps' hiding behind their user names I gave up months ago.

You make an innocuous comment and suddenly you have a mad person tearing you to shreads.

I have had diatribes you wouldnt believe levelled at me because I dared to have an opposing view.

Hope you.your wife and your latest and of course the rest are all just fine:)

Dris

Yep, in the eyes of some people who use this site showing the slightest bit of sympathy for a little girl who is pregnant or not wanting to see every criminal locked up and the key thrown away....or worse...is seen as a crime in itself! I tend to try and ingore them...not always easy, I know! IMHO having a wee bit of compassion for others is not and should not be seen as a weakness or indeed a crime!! And just for the record I do not hug trees, wear sandals (in the winter), steam lentils and call everyone man!

Hello Drisgirl lovely, how's you? We miss you:)

I couldn't agree more with you though and understand completely why you've absented yourself of late. I'm now getting to the point where I can hardly be bothered to argue as the animosity towards any form of understanding or tolerance is huge, and frankly my life is high stress enough as it is without having some self satisfied berk tell me that an 11 year old should be thrown into jail and her baby taken from her because she's pregnant(!!???)

Hope you are going on alright, we all are, and post more often:) I need the moral support.

It's something isn't it when Ward-Minter is becoming the gentle, left wing voice of reason on here?

So how does this reflect on today's society then, and does anyone agree that the whole world's gone mad?
Enough of the vitriol.....is this not supposed to be a sensible debating site, even with a bit of levity or satire thrown in wherever appropriate?
ok ianess, it doesn't really reflect on "today's society" because it's an unusual occurance. Not many 11 or 12 year olds become pregnant, or smoke or drink but you always have had, and you always will get, the exception. That then gets spun out of all proportion by the press so that suddenly it seems as if it's the end of civilisation as we know it. I don't believe it has a profound social impact, it's just a real tragedy for the girl concerned and her family.I'm thankful that at the moment not everyone in society is turning their back on her and villifying her and that hopefully she'll recieve the help and guidance she needs, but socially it's of no serious importance in the big scheme of things.

Nox

Thanks for your kind words and I am sound.I miss AB but I just wasnt thick skinned enough.Never mind I will ease myself back in gently and occasionally and no doubt in time I will be proferring my opinions as usual.Great to see libertie and ianess on form as well:)

Yeah who would have thought that WM would be the voice of reason - boring!!!

All keep well - and I'll catch up with you when you least expect it:)
