Norriss's date is played by Cherith Mellor and according to imdb she hasn't been in Coronation Street before.

Fingerprints would be too obvious a solution.

I am not old enough to remember (ahem) but I am almost certain this is a recycled storyline regarding the poison pen letter/ cards thing.

plus, apparently, older viewers might say, noone is ever permanently sacked from the factory, unless they die.

When I first saw Norris's date, I thought it was Don Brennans ex girlfriend too. She was played by Su Elliot who also played Oz's wife, Marjorie, in Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

I remember a few years ago my aunts car was broken into, stealing the radio etc. When the police came I asked them did they need to print the car, and collect blood from the broken window? The copper replied "what do you think we are sherlock holmes" gave us a police report number and left.
