Hi Johnny, when was the last time you had this message - have you had it since this morning?
Question Author
yes all day today. Tried scanning with Norton but no viruses found. althiough i have had problems with set up for a few days. all probs seems to have been resolved. Now this is happening every time i log into answerbank. last time in the last few minutes
Is Norton your anti-virus or is that a plug-in installed on your browser that's giving you the message? The AnswerBank is safe to use so Norton shouldn't be giving you a message like that.
Hi Spare Editor/Johnny37
I've been getting the same message since Saturday. It appears with every page change. It even came up when I first tried to send this reply. Is it linked to a spam problem?
Question Author
norton is my antivirus. I have just done a complete scan and the prob is still happening.
Answerbank is subject to nuisance ads but I am yet to reach the stage whereby I believe the site to be unsafe.

Perhaps you are using Norton with Internet Explorer. If that is the case I say get a better Browser because AB does have a compatibility issue with IE: as do many other Internet sites.

I consider Firefox to be the best of Browsers :-

Incidentally, you can have as many Browsers as you wish and if one is 'playing-up' it's an easy matter to switch to another one.

i have been using IE with Answerbank for years with no probs at all. I am reluctant to change. it works with anything else.

and Norton!
You'll still have Internet Explorer available for use even if you download a half a dozen other Browsers. All I am suggesting is that you try something which could prove to be better and release you from the problem you have at present.

just logged on to AB for the first time today. So far so good. keeping my fingers crossed. Ed - have your boffins done something?
Question Author
i spoke too soon.
I could not get on AB last night after about 7 pm. I got 'this site is not available' and the icon on my bookmark changed from the normal one to a weird one.
