A sure sign ^^^^^^
On a serious note for a second, did anyone catch that documentary on The Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins this week? It was absolutely horrific. I saw the Hammer film years ago but didn't realise in reality how many people he got rid of so cruelly in Essex/Suffolk area. Awful.
Question Author
No I didn't see that, Prudie. Was it on a BBC channel ?.
I didn't see it Prudie, but I remember the film. If that was anywhere near the truth, it was dreadful.
Question Author
I remember the Hammer film to, good old Vincent Price.

Thank you, I shall try and watch that.
It wasn't BBC (OH said it was on a weird channel like Watch??) maybe Tues or Wed night. yes the Vincent price film was really really scary.

Thanks Prudie.

That witch finding stuff must have been like having a 17th century ISIS.
Was the programme "Witch Hunt, A Century Of Murder."? On channel five 9pm last Tuesday.
Well done Marval, yes that was it - well Channel 5 is a bit weird, we don't watch it often :-)
I was drinking this 'potion' last night:

Yes Channel 5, can be a bit strange. I will try and watch that programme though.
I only ever tried something along the lines of witchcraft against someone who had really miffed me....in the days when I could be miffed....

It worked so well it scared the living daylights out of me and almost killed him......

So now I just stick to tootling around the estate on the broomstick.....☻
I reckon if I had said red sky at night, shepherd's delight and it had been fine the next day I would have been hung, drawn and quartered or whatever they did to witches in those days.
That sounds about right starone.

Yeah any excuse I think, star.
You were most likely to be declared a witch if you were a bit demented and your son-in-law didn't like you, but coveted your house.
