I'd liked to have seen it again,when I was a kid we weren't to far from RAF Finningly (now Robin Hood Airport) where the V-Force was based and it seemed like everytime you looked up there was one passing over.

If my loopy memory permits I'll keep a look out for the date of its last ever flight.....

Won't it be sad to watch it land for the very last time..... :-(

In my WRAF days in the 60's I was up close and very personal with the Vulcan. At RAF St Athan we had one in the hangar to do our trade training on. Being a tiny thing back then - I could get up the air intake, and did many a time.
