Are you happy to pay for greedy builders building where they should not?
Apparently we are all going to have to pay £10.50 on top of our home cover to cover for flood claims, here is a telegraph article on the subject.

What are the causes of Floods? would it be anything to do with, not taking advice about flood Plaines, not keeping brook gully's clear of silt? or would it be something to do with, sod the buyers?
There are many very old houses along the River Severn that have only been flooding in recent years due to all sorts of factors. It will be a relief to those who can no longer get affordable insurance, or any insurance, when they bought their properties as being of no flood risk. These properties are not all very close to the river.

I don't blame the builders - the land is given planning consent by the council and the councils are told to allow more house building by the government.

This is a similar scheme to the uninsured drivers scheme, where all insured drivers pay a bit more to provide cover for those involved in an accident with an uninsured driver. It is called 'society' and in my view is a very good thing.
I'm actually happy to pay it.

There was a flood here in the 90's. My aunt and uncle lost so much as did my friend. Irreplaceable sentimental stuff.

'Greedy' builders can't just build anywhere...they need permission.

There are a lot more areas at risk than most people realise
