I am going to rent him out MMc
Quite honestly I think if a kid is taught well at school by a good teacher then the only homework nesssary is plenty of reading and perhaps some 'sums'. Plenty of time for homework when they get to secondary school.

We never had homework when I was at school and we were 40 to a class with one teacher. And we slates to write on ;o)

Kids should be going out to play when they get home from school!!

Here endeth the first lesson.

Now shall we sing Hymn No. 4 in our hymn books.

I tend to agree Lottie yet my SIL believes in throwing as much education as they can take in...oh well, I am just the granny..lol
i dont think home work does any harm, my grandson loves it and is doing remarkably well at school, and he still gets to go out when he gets home from school
Trouble is it burns a child enthusiasm out very quickly if you push too hard. And educations isn't all about school.

I like to see children encouraged but not pushed.

Lines of Symmetry indeed!!
i must admit, you can take it a bit far though
