Hotel in Edinburgh near playhouse

Does anyone know of a cheap hotel near the Edinburgh playhouse? Me and fiancee going for one night on the 29th April; dont want anything expensive, its just for a place to stay; seeing Derren Brown in the edinburgh playhouse on the 29th of april :)
Somewhere we can walk to? or a cheap taxi?

Directly opposite is a holiday inn. Looks good.

There are a few B&Bs in nearby McDonald Road, 5mins from theatre.

You might find B&B in nearby Montgomery Street or London Road.

Just looked; a little out of our price range :( Seen a travel lodge for £50 but i have no idea where it is in relation to the playhouse; never been to Edinburgh before so i'd rather things all close by lol
