Car Parking at Gatwick

Which is the best car park close to Gatwick Airport please ? For about five days.

We use the summer special car park at Gatwick, it's near the N terminal but it runs a shuttle bus every 20 mins to both terminals. Under £9 a day, but we book via Holiday Extras website and they have good deals from time to time. You can get it a bit cheaper on further-away car parks but I worry about transit times, especially as we usually travel early in the morning. Summer Special has been around for several years and we have had no complaints for the many times we've parked there.

Car parks provided for North or South - it's well marked & costs about £12pd; free bus to & fro airport.

I always use NCP Flightpath as it`s on the airport and you can get it cheaper if you book online beforehand

We always stay at the Copthorne for one night, and pay to leave the car parked in their car park

Beware of those dodgy dealers who undercut the official parking sites. There was a program on Gatwick last year of an advertised company who promise to park your car but it is put on the streets of Crawley inviting anyone to plunder it. In fact I recognised one of the roads and it was near to the Post Office depot, near the A23.

For the closest parking you could use the on-site car parks or a meet and greet company that lets you drive right up to the airport terminal. If you're going to use meet and greet make sure you use a reputable company that has the safer parking ParkMark award, such as www.help-me-park.co.uk

Trekka it was the pick up and meet at the terminal I was referring to. Who's to say where it gets parked. Personally I would like to see my car parked in a proper compound before parting with it.
