Due to go to Malta at noon tomorrow, doesn't look likely so been trying to get hold of Air Malta. Been hanging on phone for ages and can't get through. What I need to know is if I don't contact them will they automatically give a refund on the fares - I have emailed them and they have just given me the phone number to ring. Any suggestions? Anyone else not made their trip and know the situation re refunds?

Hi,

My airline on their web site say that you can request a refund or a re-booking by email.

Phone lines are all jammed and they just cut you off.

Hope this helps a little.
their cancelled flights are on this page

Rebook or refund; note the phone numbers to use.

I've sent several emails now, as the phone line is constantly engaged or if you do get through you get a message in a foreign language which I presume says all their operators are busy and they will answer eventually!

Too late now, we have cancelled the hotel and hire car, kennels for the dogs and accommodation near the airport tonight. Just hope they don't try to say we did not rearrange so won't get a refund.
