I'm a British Citizen with full UK passport and travelling to Hong Kong in December. Do I need a Visa for my travel or can I just travel to Hong Kong on my passport. I'm also thinking of visiting (possibly if I have time) Macau in China would I need a visa for there? thank you.

I think it is no for Hong Kong and yes for China. Just google them both and you will get the embassy for both which explains all you need to know.

thank you...
If you're staying for less than 180 days in Hong Kong then as a UK passport holder you don't need a visa. I'm fairly sure you don't need one to visit Macau either (though you would for mainland China). It is worth checking though.
Spud is correct, no need for a visa for Macau,
