Hi, I'm a permenent US resident traveling to Bangladesh and will be in transit in Hong Kong Airport for about 3 hours, do I need to obtain a Chinese visa??? thanks.

As you are only in transit in the airport, you arent required to have a passport, If you leave the airport, you are required to have a visa.
