I am looking for a chateau in France for a short break of 2-3 nights. Ideally, it should be situated near a river or lake and be no more than 2 hours drive from Calais. Any suggestions ?

Thanks.

I stayed at this one once with some friends; it was lovely, and the food wonderful. We did little drives to Agincourt and Le Touquet. I don't think it had a water feature, though.

Thanks, Chris, and you, too jno. No mate, no more self catering for me ! I want a bit of pampering now.

The waterside thing was a bit of an extra luxury which I could forego at a pinch !
