I am travelling to Australia at the end of November. I have a four hour stop in Hong Kong. Does anyone know if I have to have a visa for Hong Kong as well as Australia?

If you are just staying at the airport whilst the aircraft refuels etc, you are a transit passenger and don't need a visa. Oz visas are available online (use google) and cost $Aus20. You must have this applied for and approved before your flight, otherwise they won't let you on the plane.
And here's me about to advise that I think they take both visa and mastercard.... ;0)

(I'm goingt to Sydney at the end of the year too, don't forget to apply for your oz visa).

They are now free and have been for nearly a year

can i come with you????!!!! aww, your so lucky, have a safe trip x
If you have a British passport then you don't need a visa for Hong Kong. If you are going through immigration there (you may not as you just stay in the same terminal) then your passport will be stamped for 6 months I think it is.
~You do not need a visa for HK.
And to correct the first answer, there is now an eVisitor visa on line for Australia, available to EU citizens and it is FREE!
