Travelling from Perhentians to Pulau Tioman, Malaysia

Hello,

In September I am spending three nights in the Perhentians and then three nights in Pulau Tioman. I was wondering if someone could advise me on the best way to get from the Perhentians to Tioman?

I would ideally like to do this in a day without travelling overnight, is this possible? I was looking into getting a coach from Kota Bharu to Mersing but not sure if that is the best way, and if it can be done during the day.

Any advice would be most appreciated.
