Clothes for daytime safari

Can anyone tell me the best type of clothes to wear in the daytime when on safari (for both sexes) thanks

Cotton is by far the best material. Have to hand anything that will do if a wind blows up, rain comes on or sun goes down and keeps you warm (all depending on where, season and time of day). Otherwise choose whatever you are comfortable in. There are people who think there is a dress code - there isn't except among a sad few. Enjoy yourself, don't worry about anything else.
It depends what time of year you go and where.  I went to the Kruger in June and it was freezing cold (mid winter and high up).  My advice would be to take layers of cotton and include a fleece if you're out and about very early in the morning.  Lightweight walking boots are good if you're on foot.

I'm going on safari next year.  I found a website which suggested cotton sand/khaki colour clothes are best as they dont show the dust. Also blue clothes attract tsetsi fly! Website is:
