I travelled from Spain to England with a fold up unicycle (don't ask). That, however, was small enough to put in a suitcase but we had fun at Customs! Have you spoken to your airline? I'm sure they are used to transporting strange items
If you are packing it in a suitcase, it should be fine (as long as the suitcase is under 32kg).
If it is not in a suitcase, you need to ensure it is as flat as possible, with no bits sticking out, so pedals are flat, handlebars twisted round. Then ensure it is tightly packaged to stop it unfolding, and if you can wrap it to protect it, or put it in box, all the better. Ask for a fragile sticker when you check it in. Then you will most likely be asked to take it to the Outsize /out-of-guage belt, so it doesnt get stuck in the baggage belts on the way down,
The tyres must be deflated, and remove the pedals, so they don't stick out.

Ideally pack it in a box. Perhaps ask your local cycle shop if they have a spare one.
you must contact the ailine for advice. I have seen large bulky items wrapped in what looks like a type of commercial cling film.
My son packs his full size mountain bike in a bike bag but as long as your bike is packed securely you should not have a problem.
No - I haven't.
