Just wondered if anyone else has this or knows someone who has.

Fab new rhumatologist tested me for it and got a letter today saying my levels are low and to go see my GP for some Vitamin D therapy.

Been reading up and not sure what's caused it but am hoping it might turn out to be an easily treatable cause of a lot of the aches and pains which would be very very welcome :)

For those who remember one of my previous posts the amitriptyline is working well on general pain and restless legs and, as a big plus, is a migraine preventer so very impressed with that.

Even lost 10lbs on Weightwatchers and started physio at the hospital rehab centre so all going good :)

I haven`t seen your previous posts, but it seems that vitamin D deficiency could have been causing most of your problems, don`t know about the migraines though.
I know you get vitamin D from daylight (outside) and that it`s in most margarines.
Treatment seems pretty simple, either from tablets or injections.
I`d be interested to know how you get on with the treatment as I suffer with the same symptons, apart from the migraines.
I rarely go out, so this could possibly explain my symptons.
Hope you get on ok with the treatment, and that it helps.
I'm really hoping so :)

Not sure how I got it as don't feel the cold so never really that covered up and eat lots of things with vitamin D it in but hey ho :)

Will let you know how I get on.

go on a sunny hol this year-sounds silly but your body stores vitamin D so stock up on it. Vit D works best when taken with calcuim as the calcuim aids its absorbtion-you should do this.

A sunny holiday is just what I need as well :)

Stuck til later this year as all my pennies are going on my brother's wedding in Canada and his fiancee's hen do in New York (if I can afford them both!) but should be sunny in both so hopefully will get some sun then.

Might see if I can get a cheapo last minute jobby to somewhere cheap in Spain too.

I'm sure I've got some calcium supplements somewhere though the ex used to say my cheap vitamins were crap as used to get really expensive ones off the net.

Got a doctors appointment to sort the vitamin D out on Tuesday so will ask him about the best calcium to take as well :)

Thank you :)
