Ever been skiing in Switzerland?

7 of us are off to Switzerland on Saturday for a Christmas Ski Holiday. I've never been before and other than the obvious dress warm etc. tips - anything anyone would add to aid me in my quest to find out if skiing is for me?? Thanks!

I've been many a time - where are you going? Get the lessons in. Get in a group of similar standard, meet some new friends and have fun. Switzerland is a lovely country to ski and contrary to popular belief not that expensive. The Swiss are laid back. If you are going to a smaller, less known resort you can have some amazing skiing yet save cash. The less known resorts have cheaper lift tickets yet can provide equally if not better skiing. I can recommend Meiringen Hasliberg which is near Interlaken.
