Following on from Sara's question, could you live without the technology we have today?

Could you mothball your mobile, PC, TV etc for one week?

When I moved last Spring, BT didn't connect me to the net like I asked, it took nearly 3 months to sort it out and I can't say I missed it. If anything, I missed downloading music, that's about it.

I'd definately miss TV and if I leave my mobile at home by mistake, I go back for it LOL

You're such i funny old man Knobby, i saw your post. The one where you thought i was AB Ed.

Best laugh i've had all week, thanks for that. :-)
Could easily live without a mobile. I hate the fact that people can contact me when I am out and turn it off intentionally. I only have it for emergency use, but on the couple of occasions it would have been really useful, it has been left at home.

TV is OK on occasions, but easy to live without.

Would miss the PC a lot, especially for online shopping and banking and emailing distant friends.

Couldn't live without my washing machine.

Would die without my music centre.

I totally agree with you on the mobile issue Lofty, it's just an annoying piece of rubbish that seems to shout "Answer me when you least want it to.
Actually think they are anti social things dabees. I can't stand people using them in public at all. I do not wan't to be forced into listening to other people's phone conversations! If I do use one I go somewhere quiet to use it. Horrible things - I wish they could be uninvented!!!
If we did not have the Internet how could we log on to our favourite site, which is this one, of course?

I could only live without the TV for a week, not the others!
Thats ok babees I am sure that you will be laughing on another one of your faces soon

This was a nice, innocent little thread Knobby. Why the threats?

Do you not understand old man? I've had this name for years, it's never been banned or even placed in the dungeon.

You accuse me of every little thing that happens on this site, if it was me, do you think i'd still be using this name?

Please take your paranoia elsewhere.
I could easily live without a TV dabees - and more than likely my moby. In fact, I didn't have one until fairly recently - because there was no point. I don't make calls whilst driving, but if there was an emergency, we have a car phone anyway. I find it ridiculous when i go shopping and get all these folk blocking the aisles as they walk along chatting to their friends. What's up with saving all that until you get home?
