Lost Passport

Please can anyone help, me and my boyfriend are due to be going away this Sunday 29th and he cannot find his passport anywhere. We have contacted the passport office as you were once able to retrieve another one the same day but there is now a new security system where it takes up to a week, and the soonest he could get one is Saturday September 5th. Please can anyone give any ohter suggestions as to what we could do, as my insurance also will not pay out for lost or stolen passports. Please please please help

Go down to the office - i thought if you went there they could do it while you wait? Failing that try and get a guy on the phone, explain the situation and cry.

done it, no luck at all! They use to be able to do it while you waut but say they only do that now if you need to extend or renew your passport in which case you need your current one with you. There must be a way, please help

there is no way - contact the airline and ask to get the name changed on the ticket and go with a friend

I just could not do it. I would feel awful the whole time I was there and i wouldn't be able to enjoy myself. Is there definitely no way?

Break your boyfriend's leg and claim on your insurance. Then go later when the passport is sorted (and the leg healed)
