The rumbling woke me and my husband up. Crazy thing is, we just turned over & said it must be a tremor!

i was asleep and was woken by a real strong shaking feeling, it was awful, it really un-nerved me as it was so strong, i didnt know if i was dreaming.

It measured 4.7 on the richter scale! It was broadcast on Sky. Im in wales.

i didnt see the other post on here 'OMG - Earthquake' and all its postings until after id read yours and added my feeble two penneth!! lol - i thought it was just you and me that had witnessed it!! lol .. dohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
i live on a busy main rd and when it woke me i first thought that a lorry had crashed into the side of the house!! it was scarrrey! ... i felt myself rocking, but as i was still kind of asleep and cus i didnt hear any fuss or any sirens outside, i thought it was probably my snorring that had stirred me out of my sleep lol .... gawwwd!!

The BBC news now says we were at the epicentre and 5.3 it appears to have been .

I was sitting on my lounger reading and the whole house started rocking.It only lasted a few seconds but it scared the heck out of me.It woke my fiance who is a heavy sleeper. We live on the West coast of England so quite a distance from the epicentre in Market Rase,Lincolnshire.

Got woken up with the shaking thought my flat was falling down as it has a habit of that and sat for what seemed like ages then it stopped and I cleared my eyes woke up properly and put it all down to my sleep paralysis wasn�t until this morning when I saw the news that I realised

Its my 3rd one that I remember, remember one about 5/6 years back at about 4am and then one when I was about 12 in the middle of the day. The second shake is the aftershock Zac
