On February 11 there will no longer be tolls on the Tay Road Bridge and the Forth Road Bridge.

That makes Scotland Toll-Free.

Have you seen the looks of bewilderment on the train drivers faces as they ease the Royal Scot into Glasgow ? Why oh why didn't we put concrete buffer stops at Carlisle.

lol -reel em in......^^^
Can't really see why anybody would want to actually pay to go into Scotland, out, maybe, yes, It's a fact that the scots don't like the english, and they make it very obvious whilst you are there. yet when they come to england we make them very welcome,
Nothing there worth paying to see, I suppose? lol
Wot bridge do the trolls now live under then?
Good point logic. I will be visiting Glasgow to see a couple of dear friends this summer. I have taken oot special insurance and hugged my kids goodbye, then it's the train and a trip into the unknown. They are very sweet, can't speak properly of course and always sound as though they are strangling chickens, but I love them.

Its goint to be more beneficial to commuters who have to use both use bridges to get into and out of Dundee and Edinburgh on a daily basis.

Im not sure from the posts if anyone at all understood -its nothing to do with English or Welsh people coming into Scotland -its do with the Scottish people yet again reaping the benefits of everyones elses taxes outwith Scotland.

We are worthy -lol
What aboot the toll on the QE2 bridge across the Thames ? Why should we have to pay that while you Scotch get awa scot-free ?
They were fed up with the huge tailback of traffic while the tollbooth attendants were trying to get the Scots to part with their cash. lol
Question Author
What about the toll on the QE2 bridge -more money to subsidise us surely.Makes sense.

Munkee -thats why they gave in -it was just too much hassle getting us to part with our money specially when we knew that everyone else taxes would cover it.

Myriad, I think you maybe meant 'sweaties' ?

Not a term I am familiar with of course, and I have wondered about the imprudence of raising the subject, but I think things should be always be speled properly.
