What is surrey quays like? Is there anything to do there? Does it have a high street? Most importantly, is Franky & Bennys near to the Underground station?

Frankie & Benny's is part of the Mast Leisure Park, which is just a very short walk (about 2 minutes?) from Canada Water underground station. (It's about 7 or 8 minutes walk from Surrey Quays underground station). That's based on the restaurant locator here
http://www.frankieandbennys.com/
together with consulting a London A-Z.

Googling the Mast Leisure Park suggests that it has the usual facilities that similar developments have. (i.e. several bars and restaurants, ten pin bowling, bingo, etc).

Shopping in the area seems to be concentrated on the small Surrey Quays shopping centre, with a boring and predictable range of High Street names (e.g. Boots, Woolworths, etc):

So it looks like the area has reasonable facilities for locals but there doesn't appear to be anything to go out of your way for.

Chris

Not much in surrey quays, I lived there for years but then it was called surrey Docks, if you go to Rotherhithe station get out and go to the Mayflower pub,it is a beautiful pub overlooking the river, but the rest of the area is purely working class area, with not much to do, good Pie and mash shop in tower bridge road (Manzies) better off going to tower hill and visiting the tower of london, Monument and tower bridge if you want something interesting in that area, or the london dungeon, near to London bridge, Good luck,Ray

Thank you to both Chris and Ray for your informative answers. I wanted to invite a friend to franky and bennys for her birthday and as she lives in the centre of london was trying to figure out which is the best branch to take her to.
