does anyone know any pet friendly hotels,b&bs that accept dogs in the lake district/not bothered which area as long as its quite central.

There are quite a few in that area that will accept pets to name a few there are:-

Lovelady Shield House, Red Lion Inn Ambleside, Royal Oak Appleby in Westmoorland, Allerdale Court Hotel in Cockermouth, Old Rectory Country House in Coniston, Dale Lodge in Grasmere,Glenridding Hotel in Ullswater and 21 The Lakes in Windermere.
