Passport went into washing machine on Sunday - rescued it but wondered how 'damaged' it has to be to force you to get a new one. All the stamps from visits to USA/Thailand etc have run and disappeared but the main page is still totally legible - albeit a bit curled round the edges and a bit washed out looking! Costs 66 to get a new one which makes it an expensive error.

With the current security issues it is not worth taking the risk.

Better to buy a new one than to risk being turned away as you check in for your holiday.

Or worse, get rejected at the other end and have to take the next flight home.

A week or so ago a guy was going to Barceloan to get married and his passport photo was loose and he got turned way at the airport and missed his wedding.
66 may be an expensive error, but in October that error increases to 72.
You are not using the right washing powder. It should have cleaned everything off the pages!
