Alicante night life

Has anyone here been to Alicante. I went last year for a week with my b/f and it was great. We are going again this year. The only problem was that there was plenty of places to eat out but we didn't come across any pubs or bars. We are staying in a place called playa de san juan a few miles from Alicante town but dont mind venturing out for a bit of nightlife.

Hi jababe,
My p'rents have moved to Alicante.... they LOVE it.. saying that it is not JUST for those retired. Try a trip to O'Huela (in alicante) - (known as the pyramid roundabout) the whole strip is full of pubs and bars.. excellent place
