Hi
My sister is off to Afghanistan for 8 months next month and we want to have a girly get together before she goes, looking at Cheltenham or Bath, a nice hotel fairly central so we can walk to shops etc and have a couple of pampering treatments in the hotel. I can google and hundreds come up, any suggestions would be great to narrow it down,

http://www.thebigsleephotel.com/offers.asp?hot elid=3 is (allegedly) the in place to stay in Cheltenham at the moment. It's maybe 10 minutes walk to the Promenade and 5 to the Pittville Pump Room where you can take the waters.

I don't think it has treatments on site though - not that I can see on the web site.

Never stayed there though so it could be all hype
