what is the closest coastal location from st louis missouri? want to go to the beach - where is closest?

its a very long way to any beach,from st louis sue,its really not feasible unless you go by plane.

Probably the Atlantic coast in North or South Carolina. It will be two long days driving.

Think it is 6hrs drive up to Chicago and you can go to their 'beach' on the shores of Lake Michigan - which is so big you cannot see the other side - so you can pretend you are on the beach!

sorry - meant to say '....so you can pretend you are at the seaside. From what I remember they have a pier and a Ferris wheel too.
