a group of friends and me are planning a trip in the summer for somewhere in England for a few days we are hoping to rent a static caravan but are a little stuck for destinations that won't cost a ton on the train, we live in Chester, has anybody got any suggestions of a place where 5 young people with eclectic tastes in things to do won't get bored!

thanks in advance

cheers for the heads up, we are all girls
How about the Lake District, loads of walking or watersports, little villages and such to explore and such. Not a huge amount of nightlife but there are some nice pubs and a club or two.

Blackpool is another possible as loads to do there and places nearby you can visit.

Manchester might be a bit close but loads to do there and Trafford Centre too.

Leeds is a great city for shopping and there are some great bars and you could have a day trip to York which is gorgeous.

Cardiff's a lovely city too and close to Bristol for an additional shopping trip and some lovely places by the sea.
I have to agree with Jeena, I used to travel around the Country and even Cities like Bristol, Liverpool and Newcastle are really happening places.
For five girls I would suggest Brighton for the Pubs and Clubs, Stratford upon Avon for the historic value. Newquay for the beauty and the Devon and Dorset border ( Weymouth) as from there you can go East to Southampton. Poole and Bournemouth and West to Lyme Regis ,Seaton and Beer....yes there is a place called Beer.
