Parking Fine

[London Eddy]

Last Friday I got a parking ticket in the London Boro'
of Newham. I parked on a side street on a single
white line I was not aware of any parking infringement
There were no notices stating any parking restrictions
and certainly no yellow lines (i have taken photos of
the area).The parking ticket states the I was parked
adjacent to a drop kerb.( Code 27) eh ????
Can anybody enlighten me as to the legality of this
please
