Please could you tell me how long these vaccinations last can you get a booster or do they last for life. thanks vick

The duration of immunity is not known for either disease. For tetanus, it might be 10 years or more. For diphtheria, it's even less sure. A booster can be given for both, and is adviseable, especially in the case of diphtheria if you're travelling to a country that has a problem with it (e.g. Africa). Most cases of diphtheria among UK adults are found to be among those returning from abroad. As for tetanus, it's a good idea too - you could get it from a scratch when you're gardening.
