Air Fares for kids

Does anyone know if airlines charge the same fare for a 2 year old as they would an adult,Im trying to book a seat only flight to lanzorote and I just thought it might be cheaper for my daughter but maybe thats only if you are getting a package deal does anyone know?

Depends on the airline - some charge full price, others offer a reduction.

thanks for that I will check another airline now.
if its a charter airline, like monarch or airtours they will as a genral rule charge children as adults but for secdulded airlines like ba or virgin for example they will offer a child rate usual about 1/2 to 3/4 of the adult fare
