young ppl wanting to holiday..
Ok, i know you can fly alone when you're 16 but is there anywhere online that will book hotels + flights for under 18's? Me and my friend (both 16) looking to go away for a week (cheap as poss!) but don't know if we'll be able to find someone that will take us? Any help?

i went to Majorca when i was 16, we just walked in to the travel agent, there is no rule that under 18's aren't allowed to go on holiday alone. We booked with Thomad Cook and they wanted a letter fromm our parents just to confirm it was ok for us to go. i'm assuming that will be ok, so you can book the same holidays as everybody else

This is the organisation that is linked to the YHA in England, they have better standards than,say,backpacking hostels, and are usually good.
Shouldn't be a problem getting flights if you are 16, my daughters flew to America when they were 16 and 14. I booked that for them on the internet.

Hi mermaid. You may find that although you are not 18 yrs, as long as you have written consent from parent/guardian to travel, this is accepted by travel agents/travel companies as this is the legal age for the holiday contract.
On the basis you are a responsible 'young person' you can get a booking with a parent signing the documents - insurance may not be avilable to you either by the way, so look out for that too.
this is a parental consent form for a UK holiday in Cornwall and could be similar to one you may be asked to have signed - note there is a bond to be paid too -
Soverign Holidays and several others will take the booking on the basis that you have the consent.
Youth hostels are not about dormitories and old socks nowadays - have a look at Spain info here and maybe this would suit as puzzled says.
