After being suspended from work with pay how long does the company have before contacting you with any info as to what they are doing next

I don't think there's a statutory period, but obviously as the company is suspending you (and paying you for staying at home and doing nothing ) they should be aiming to complete the process as quickly as possible. Depending on any internal investigations which need to be done, i.e. interviewing other witnesses if misconduct has been committed, an efficient company would probably try and complete the process within a week. If individual witnesses are working different shifts or on holiday it might take a little longer. Do you have a company handbook which gives full details of how grievance and disciplinary procedures are handled? You might find more details in there.
