Anyone know of a company that caters for wheelchair users preferably using hotels which have the facilities needed ie no steps anywhere, fairly level resort area, disabled hoists, showers etc.
A friend of mine would love to go away having spent a long time in hospital, unfortunately she is virtually confined to a wheelchair, mentally she is fine.

UK and abroad ideas welcome, if anyone knows any suitable places to travel independantly theses ideas are also welcome. Thanks

RADAR publishes and annual guide to holidays in the UK for disabled people:

If you'd rather not buy it, you should be able to see a copy at your reference library. If you can't, ask them to get it in for you.

The Imperial Hotel in Llandudno has good facilities for disabled people, including shower rooms with easy access and sinks that slide up and down.

My wife stayed there with her elderly mother recently.
