Are there any daytime trains?

I know there is a night one leaving at 9 p.m. daily, but it might be good to see the scenery.

You're right - just the night-time one by the looks of it. This website has been recommended on answerbank for train travel (even in the UK). You just need to put Bucuresti for Bucharest

I am sure there are daytime trains over the route or at least most of it. It won't be a through train - you'll have to change at least once and probably several times - and it may not even be possible to complete the journey in a single day.

See if you can get a copy of Thomas Cooks's European timetable - your local library should have it, or use the site the previous poster suggested and split the journey into segments.
