Hi all, I have a 5 hour wait at Heathrow (terminal 4) next week between flights and I was thinking of booking into a lounge. It costs about 17.50 I think. Do you think it's worth doing?

It depends on how much waiting in the hurly-burly of the standard lounge phases you. If, like me, you can fall asleep in any size of crowd, and any amount of noise, this is not a problem. If you get stressed, and would like some comfort and quiet, I would say this was an excellent deal, and that is what you are buying.
I used one last time I flew, although I did not pay for it myself. It was comfortable, with proper armchairs, not too crowded and with drinks and snacks provided. I'm not sure whether I would have paid to use it, but for a five hour wait, yes I probably would.
I cannot think of anything worse than hanging around Heathrow for five hours. Let's face it, during that time you are likely to spend the 17.50 on coffee, sticky bun etc. so you might as well spend the money, have a bit of comfort with the coffeeI thrown in. I have used these lounges and would do so again - definitely recommended. Treat yourself.
any chance of going landside and taking the tube to, say, Knightsbridge for some shopping? I think you'd have use a bus from T4 to Hatton Cross at the moment, but it might make the time go faster.
Is there one at terminal 3 ?
