Having a weekend away with my boyfriend, can anybody recommend any good reasonably priced restaurants and/or any interesting places we must visit in or around Plymouth? Thanks!

Plymouth Gin distillery in the centre. Interesting visit including tasting plus bistro for food (but it's not always open in the evening). After trying Plymouth gin you will find the ordinary stuff very boring.

Also mexican restaurant Arribas on Notte street in Barbican area is very good and always busy.

Steak & Omelette Bar.116-118 Cornwall st which is in the City centre but in a side street.Fabulous food at a reasonable price but not laid out like a posh restaurant.Greek owned and used by the locals all the time.Tourist Board which is in the Barbican will have leaflets of places to visit according to your personal taste.
Not a restaurant but a visit to Capn Jasper's is a must even if you don't like burgers. http://www.capn-jaspers.co.uk/index.htm
The Tudor garden in the Barbican is well worth a look, in fact just wander round the Barbican, about the only part of old Plymouth which wasn't devestated by bombs in WWII.
