Can Spanish Ptas be exchanged

Can Spanish Ptas still be exchanged for Euros. I have just discovered 8000 ptas in my travel case from holiday 2 years ago. Do banks still change this money?

I think it may be difficult to change it in the UK, and even if you can, commission charges will probably eat up a large part of the approx �30 which 8000 pts should be worth. On the other hand, if you or a friend are going to Spain, you should be able to change the Pesetas to Euro with little or no commission at any branch of the Bank of Spain (Banco de Espa�a).
