I can count them on one hand! Very elderly Aunt, sister in Law, two Cousins who live far away, and our long term friends in Hertfordshire. No-one else. Any friends locally I can just say Happy Christmas. I haven't bought any Christmas cards for years, or wrapping paper! Our Christmas expenditure is nil! Same as any other week.
The number of cards I send has dropped from over 200 many years ago to fewer than 20 now. As some of those are to people whom I don't expect to get a card back from (like the lady at the burger van up the road or the staff at the launderette I use), the number I receive is even fewer: just 10 last year :(
We aren’t buying presents this year , I’ve friends in Scotland and Wales , down South that we don’t see , I send them , then there’s the hand out ones which are the bulk of them , what I class as special friends , we keep our cards year on year to put up
None whatsoever. I buy 4 large cards to give my children, each containing £50. Then i pop smaller envelopes inside for my 9 grandkids, each containing a tenner. Christmas sorted.
I live on a complex of 14 bungalows (old folks) and we all push a card through each letterbox except for one neighbour who informed us all last year that he wouldn't be doing this in future.
(Bah Humbug.)
I post very few these days as most of my cards are given to friends and family.
I read any that arrive and leave them in a pile. Not very many now since I stopped sending. I put them on a shelf nearer Christmas. Hubby never did help with them.
Just writing mine now, Bobbi. I make all my cards and try to use something from a received last year card to send back blinged up to the sender if I can. Love making....hate writing.
I make up a parcel of cards for family and friends in Northants and send them to a friend who pops them into the Scout Post for me. 30p a card so that's not too bad.
Probably another 20 or so to post from here but that's getting a bit pricey now.
