Think you need to look at the Empire, St Georges, The Imperial in Llandudno. Or the Castle Hotel, or the Sychnant Pass Hotel Conwy. Or even the Waterloo Betws Y Coed.
Have a look at these Bednobs. We don't know where you or your party are headed or what they want to do. If I had to pick one that I would stay in from this list it is the Portmeirion Hotel. Superb location and enclosed grounds. The series The Prisoner was filmed there.

thanks chaps. We want to walk up snowdon (not me) zip line (me!) beaches at anglesey (all f us) electric mountain (me)
The two Hotels that put you within easier reach of all those facilities and require less driving are The Empire in Llandudno, or even better(serious money place) Bodysgallen Hall Deganwy( between Conwy and Llandudno) This is where the likes of Tom Jones and Elton John stay when they come to visit me. You can even land your owd helicopter in the grounds.

The Hotel Portmeirion is lovely and the food is fabulous, though it is a few years since I was there.
Back in the day Choux....I used to go to the Italian Village every year and check all the televisions that the company I worked for had in the cottages and apartments in the Portmeirion Hotel village grounds. The work and life work of Clough Ellis a visionary architect. As a young man from Stoke on Trent I used to think that I had stumbled into heaven every spring. The hotel fire ruined the most remarkable fire grate/hearth/mantle that I have ever seen. Bednobs needs to tell us when they are visiting, and I really can advise. I have lived in this magical but potentially crue,l and lethal, place for 50 odd years.
What number are you? Have you ever thought of escaping?
Haha ........69.
I have spent many a holiday in N. Wales, Togo, as I have relatives there. I was fascinated by the material-lined ceiling in the coffee lounge at the hotel. I wonder how often it got cleaned with all those pleats!
Choux....not been into the village or near the hotel for decades. "She who must be obeyed" has never even been in the grounds despite being born and bred in N. Wales, and it is one of the must do days out that I keep in the back of my mind. Perhaps link it in with an overnight stay and a bit of carp fishing in Criccieth when the warm weather comes back. A plan is coming together as we speak. :))
Warm weather in N. Wales, lol. In my youth I would laugh at my mother calling the precipitation a monsoon whilst my father called it mountain mist. Enjoy that plan, Togo :)
Warner’s have a nice hotel in that area, Bodelwyddan Castle
