I'm booked for a couple of nights in February at the Sofitel The Palm but I can't recommend it yet as not been there. My goto for opinions is tripadvisor.

I stayed at Le Royal Meriden. It's still as good as it always was but the area around it has been quite built up (as most of Dubai has) I wouldn't do B&B though - the restaurants are too good for that.
