I'm 21 and planning a holiday for my parents and me. Just to get away from here for a few days! I'm looking at around Christmas time or maybe even next month. I'm not sure! We'd like to go to Turkey. Can anyone tell me where exactly to go, and where do you think it is best to look? e.g the net? I don't want to spend too much, but considering it's for about 4, 5, or 6 nights, maybe cost doesn't matter!

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I normally book on line through thomsons or thomas cook but I'm sure your local travel agents will do plenty of last minute deals if you have a pretty good idea of when you want to go.Going away at Christmas time normally means paying over the odds if you are looking for ideas try the Canaries which will still be warm and bearable at this time of year.

Have a great holiday wherever you decide to go to.

I once went to Istanbul for Christmas: it cost hardly anything (but this was about 20 years ago) and was wholly unchristmassy - which was just what I wanted. Big resort hotels, especially those specialising in British guests, often have Xmas/New Year dinners, for which they charge way over the odds, so you might be better going for smaller hotels or on a bed and breakfast basis. Weather was mild; but it can get cold, even snowy, so it's hard to predict. Turks are really nice people.
