Just a quick question - need to get some passport photos ( the ones I sent that I took are not suitable apparently) - does anybody know the current cost of using a photo booth please ? Tried Snappy Snaps - they want £8.99 for 4 pics !
Many thanks

Rail station, some supermarkets, shopping centres, WH Smith, all seem to charge £ 5 for 4 very flattering pics !! You know the type, "wanted dead or alive for armed robbery". Grim but acceptable to the Passport office.

Thanks Janbee, will have to find my nearest booth.

According to http://www.photo-me.co.uk/consumers/id-information/ ...

To find the location of your nearest Photo-Me photobooth just call:

0845 100 4000
try a pharmacy that does passport photos and they will tell you if your pose is going to be accepted, I did two separate lots in a booth but both were rejected , then went to a pharmacist who asked me to clip my fringe back as it was too long, did this and these last photos were accepted even though I looked like Olive from On The Buses.
Dee, I look like a cross between a startled Maggie Thatcher and a very startled Susan Hampshire. ! Frightening.
If you have a Max Spielman shop, they specialise in passport photographs .
They have to make the people in the office have a good laugh or they won't accept them! If you look like a hardened criminal or have just fallen out of bed, then that will be accepted. x
Our one and only photo booth is £5 and it is hit and miss if the photo is acceptable. I usually lean forward to check if it is working and end up with a pic of the top of my head.
Our local photographer charges £5 and he is just as quick as the booth
I think there a small person sitting inside that booth having a good laugh at all the pics before he/she sends them down the chute.
Boots provide the correct size for the passport and the slightly different size for an Irish passport
You mean the Picture Imp.

Fans of Terry Pratchett will understand.
Tuvok, I understand fully, ya wee scunner

When I was last looking some of the photo shops wanted extortionate rates for them, you had to buy about 10 passport photos, who on earth wants or needs that many passport photos???
FBG, what is your avatar? Is it the staff of Caduceus?
My passport photo is fantastic - even passport control have commented on it in various places! And I had it done - of all places - in our local Bargain Booze haha. I've recommended them to loads of people and they have been pleased with theirs too. A fiver for half a dozen, if memory serves
FBG, just had a better look at your avatar, and I now see it's the rod of Asclepius. My apologies for the error.
Dont forget snappy snaps. They are very good.
